Jin Lew has been an actively practicing licensed lawyer in good standing in the State of California for over 35 years. He is a founding partner of Lew Stevens LLP, a law firm that represents patients and their families in complex catastrophic injury matters arising out of medical malpractice and general negligence.

Education

Jin has a Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California Los Angeles.

Professional Honors & Distinctions

Since 2009, Jin has been repeatedly selected by the legal community and peers to be within the top 5% of attorneys and given the honorable distinction as “Super Lawyer” in the area of plaintiff medical malpractice. Jin has been given the highest rating of “Superb” by the national attorney search database AVVO.com. In 2014, Jin was a finalist for the Consumer Attorneys of California Lawyer’s prestigious award of Lawyer of the Year. In 2021, Jin was named in the nationally syndicated legal publication Best Lawyers® as “LAWYER OF THE YEAR” for Plaintiffs Medical Malpractice Law. Jin has also been included in the list of National Trial Lawyers, Top 100.

Speaker

Jin has been an invited speaker on subjects pertaining to personal injury and medical malpractice law by UCLA School of Law, Loyola Law School and Southwestern Law School. Jin has also delivered talks on developments in the law to various legal professional and lawyer societies, associations, and organizations.

Publications

Over the course of his career, Jin has authored literature regarding the practice of medical malpractice law that has been published by recognized legal periodicals including Neubauer & Assocs-Plaintiff Magazine and Thomson Reuters-Forum Magazine.

Community Support

Jin has served as President of the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California, the nation’s oldest and largest Korean American legal rights and attorney advocacy organization. For over a decade, Jin has dedicated his time and effort as the Chairperson for KABA’s Judicial Endorsement Committee which has successfully advocated for the State Governor’s appointment of over a dozen judges to the Los Angeles Superior Court bench.
