Director of Administration
As a UCLA School of Law Certified Legal Administrator, Helene Rubinfeld Bizar has been in law firm administration for almost 50 years. Her background in legal administration is supported by her education in accounting, psychology and sociology. She is responsible for all the non-legal aspects of successfully administering a firm, from personnel management, technology, financial requirements, securing service contracts, managing insurance needs, to handling whatever else comes up during the course of a day.
During her tenure in law firm administration, she has worked in very prestigious law firms, taking several through transitions and growth, including a large merger requiring the build out of 30,000 sq. ft. of raw space on 2 full floors in the Century City Twin Towers building.
Prior to building a career in law firm management, Helene was the Controller of a major motion picture advertising agency. She is well grounded with the tools and calm demeanor to lead a vibrant firm such as Lew-Stevens.
Helene has been a speaker at several Los Angeles County Bar Association Small Firm Section meetings on various topics related to law firm management and she has contributed articles to the Association of Legal Administrators chapter newsletters, an organization for which she served on the Board of Directors for many years. She also has a podcast on law firm management.
In her spare time, Helene enjoys gardening and the challenge of conquering 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzles.
